Ten of The Best 2002

Photos courtesy of Sunny & Bassboy  As some of you may have heard through the grapevine, there was an event held in Yorkshire in August 2002 called "Ten of The Best" where many of the UK's most powerful car's where present in a Shoot-out 0-500m sprint event.  It was at this event that the might of a 2.1 Zetec Turbo Fiesta was brought to the attention of all. Rising from the depths of the Ian H. (Fiesta Frenzy) camp this car has shown us the future in Zetec tuning.  Running at 1 bar boost this beast overcame the power of a 600bhp Nissan Skyline GT-R34 and a 500bhp Escort Cosworth but unfortunately due to technical difficulties on the third sprint was advised to "take it easy" on the throttle hence the loss against a Mitsubishi GTO. Although this Fiesta ran at 1 bar boost (14psi) on the day, it has been proven that is is capable of holding TWICE this boost i.e. 2 bar!! It had just completed mods to the cooling a day before this event and has since undergone even more modifications, which after having seen this monster in action before these mods all that can be said is, it will surely blow your mind!  Strangely there are not many features, photos or videos or this event in circulation at present. But RS1800.com are pleased to announce we have exclusive photos of this infamous chariot and video footage of the three sprint runs put down by the ultimate 2.1 Zetec Turbo'd Fiesta.    There was also another wildy modified 2.1 Zetec Turbo showing it's awesome power, namely Paul R's red racetrack ripper which set the second fastest FWD time on the day.  Enjoy Videos below! - Pritam S.
